Comments I contacted Matt at the Dive Shop prior to heading down and put down a $40 deposit on the $175 total price (I had my own equipment). Tank-Ha is a smaller dive shop but well organized and efficient. I paid Gabby at the desk the day before who was helpful and easy to deal with. The DM was Devon, an american who was a good group organizer and leader. the 4 of us on the dive loaded up our gear into a pick up truck with extended cab after about a half hour of organizing at the dive shop including selecting sandwiches for lunch which were provided. I went with 32% and 100 cu ft tanks.

It was a 40 minute drive to Dos Ojos and we started the day at the Pit. A good dive briefing was provided and we set up our gear on the purpose supplied tables. Tanks were lowered into the Pit by rope while we climbed down the steep stairs into the Cenote. I wore a 3 mil full wetsuit which was suitable for me having a good layer of meoprene. The dive started by entering the water and retrieving the lowered rigged up tanks. Tansk were put on in the water followed by a swim back to the stairs to load up your weights in the water.

The dive followed a circular patter around the cenote and included a 40' fresh water layer, 10 to 15 foot mixing zone, then salt water to 100' where hydrogen sulphide layer could be observe with tree branches sticking our from below. Buoyancy was tricky with both fresh and salt water having to be accounted for. Nice dive and some excellent photo ops.

Second dive was at the Dos Ojos where we selected the Barbie Line which lead us through a series of caverns and some cave sections all the while following an installed line. Absolute crystal clear water. Again it was single file and a very shallow dive profile of not deeper that 24'.

Excellent experience but somewhat challenging and not for inexperienced divers.
