Comments I really wish I had scheduled ALL of my dives before leaving home, since there were a few I would have enjoyed, but they were filled by the time I got to the island. DM is primarily a family operation that has been in business for 30 years. They are extremely safety conscious; both of their divers and the underwater enviornment. As a senior diver, who does not get in the water as often as she'd like, I felt very comfortable and appreciated the time and patience given to me to get my gills wet again. Thorough briefings were given before every dive as to what we could expect to see -- which was very helpful, especially when you were looking at something like a juvenile rockfish! I think it's a 6 to 1 ratio of divermaster to divers, and they all seemed to know where every little critter was hiding. The boat was comfortable, but did not have a head, and the snacks were just okay. However, the fun, devoted, and knowledgeable crew made up for any shortcomings. I will be one of those "repeat" customers the next time I go to Kona.
