Comments I highly recommend In2Scuba.Maui. My family of advanced divers is scheduled to dive Molokini crater later this week. However, since we had not been diving for several years I thought it would be best to do a check-out shore dive before Molokini.

Ty met us at a park located next to the Westin Kaanapali Condos. His gear was top notch and he provided whatever you needed for the dive. He quickly verified the amount of weight required for each diver. The dive briefing was clear and thorough.

Ty led us into the surf where the house reef consisted of hard coral beginning at 10 feet sloping down to a depth of 50 feet. Visibility was excellent and the critters were bountiful including typical reef fish, moray eels, octopus, and a larger Hawaiian Green Turtle. Surge and light current are to be expected and Ty did his best to use them to our advantage.

Overall our decision to go on the shore dive helped my family re-orient themselves to the diving while having a great time. Ty ensured we were well equipped, well briefed, safe, saw all the critters, and had fun. We were ready to dive the back wall of Molikini with confidence.
