Comments Second time diving with Jack's. Three two-tank dives. Each one left harbor at a relaxed 9:30 AM. Crew set up all gear on the 46' Kea Nui, well-suited for gear, plenty of space to spread out, even has on-board head. There were up to 20 divers on board, but we had 4 DMs, so each group was reasonable. Each dive was 50' - 80'. Crew very safety-oriented, accommodated my bottom time, good at spotting small critters.

All dive sites chosen were close to the harbor. Each day ended at Turtle Heaven or Honokohau, right at the harbor entrance, where we spotted large tiger shark . The coral does not look to have suffered in the 5 years since my last visit, with fish populations and variety maintained. The only thing I would have changed would be the opportunity to dive at a wider variety of sites.

There was a fair amount of rain (being summertime) so the viz was more-limited than during the winter months.
