Comments Return visit to Kona, using Jack's again. They take care of setting up your gear, observe all safety requirements. The staff are knowledgeable about the dive sites, good at pointing out interesting critters. The "classic" dive is pretty much for beginners, fairly shallow diving. The "advanced" dive goes to more-remote, deeper sites. We did two advanced dives at Driftwood and Black castle. Black coral cave at Black Castle. Spotted an eagle ray there. Driftwood has interesting topography, lots to see at varying depths. White tip reef shark in a cave, interesting swim-thrus. My only complaint is the ridiculous amount of time spent getting to the dive sites. We spent 45 minutes motoring in a huge circle to a dive site that is 10 minutes out from the harbor. Then spent an hour interval at a location, then spent another 20 minutes motoring to the second dive site. On the advanced dive, all the other divers were on nitrox - it would have been good to know that in advance so I could've prepared for it and been able to go to same depths as the rest of the divers.

UW Photo Comments I did not bring photo gear, but it looked like the divers with photo gear were pretty happy with the set up. Operator was good about keeping non=photo gear out of the photo gear tanks.
