Comments Water was colder than the usual Caribbean diving we often due and were were warned that full 2 or 3 mil would be required and even 5 mil for those who are sensitive to the cold.

Reefs were badly damaged due to the El Nino with about 20% surviving. The poor tropical fish were struggling to find enough shelter in the living corals.

Large lava rock formations dominated and diving was along the edges of the island in the strong surge zone.

Saw a large frog fish swim which was a first and did the night Manta Dive along with a number of other boats. 3 or 4 Manta's who put on a shown for 20 minutes or so.

Had fun and it was generally a good dive operation however the diving itself was on the whole not very interesting.

Hotel was typical 3 star and the food generally acceptable but pretty ordinary.

Did not hate it but would not go back.
