Comments [None]The Blackwater dive is amazing. You go several miles offshore. We were at a depth of 4600 feet. It is known as the greatest feeding frenzy on the planet. All sorts of bazaar creatures rise from the depths to the surface. You will see all sorts of creatures, many of them very colorful. I was lucky enough to have Jeff Milisen as the divemaster. He wrote A Field Guide to Blackwater Diving in Hawaii, and definitely knows his stuff. He is also very into it and gets everybody excited. I have made a lot of dives, but this is truly different and highly recommended. Check it out on the dive company website for details. You are tethered to the boat, so do not let the depth scare you. This is a must do for advanced divers.
