Comments Three days before this Manta Dive my 11yr boy Donald successfully completed his four OW dives with Kona Honu's instructor JC, the perfect guy for a go-for-it-all boy. The boy was now rated OW to 40' with an adult certified diver.....and these guys at Kona Honu treated him like the responsible young man that he was.

For newbies they required a daylight dive before the Manta Dive at the same site to familiarize the diver with the site. Everything went right. The boy practiced his techniques perfectly, the DM was just a little pushy but perhaps reasonably so considering his young charge, and the experience was perfect. Battleships Galactica swooped by us repeatedly dancing their Chinese Ribbon Dance to the floating plankton in the water. Whew!

I went on a total of four dives with K Honu and the boy so we were limited by circumstance; I don't know how flexible they might be with experienced divers like myself. However I am certain that these people, and Instructor JC in particular, made these dives perfect.

Consider Kona Honu if you have an OW Referral for a competent young diver.
