Comments I changed Dive operators mid vacation and what a great choice. Mauna Lani Sea Adventures are located in the resort of the same name and are friendly dedicated divers who cannot do enough to make sure that your dive experience is the best.I had called on short notice for a dive for two of us and were told by Steve (operations manager)to be there the next morning. First dive was to the 15th hole where we encountered 3 Mantas lounging around for close to our total dive ,which by the way was in excess of one hour as were each subsequent dives. We also encountered an octopus and turtles. The briefings were concise and the post dive debriefing was a nice touch to explain what you just saw. Gary and Frankie provide all the details of what should be at a site and what was there. We observed nudibranchs, a lizard fish with a yellow frog fish in its mouth, white tip sharks, big puffer fish, file fish, eels and a general healthy reef system. We dove with Gary, Steve and Frankie over the next week and had a fantastic time. I cannot say enough about the general sense of them wanting us to be satisfied divers. We stayed at Kolea in the Waikoloa Beach Resort and thought the accommodations were stunning. (check VRBO for rentals). So we had 6 days of great diving with Mauna Lani and returned to the Mantas more than once for those extra photos. These guys are a small operation and return to the dock between dives and serve up fresh towels, animal cookies, tea and coffee along with water. Kudos to Steve ,Gary and Frankie.
