Comments Tons of fun exploring the reefs of the Big Island with Captain Frank and Pacific Rim Divers! Lots of fishes and critters; great guides helping to point out the tiny stuff; long bottom times well over 60min. My first time seeing a pod of dolphins underwater- wow how beautiful is that! And a curious but friendly tiger shark made a few appearances which got the adrenaline going! I hear she (Laverne, so she is named) may be visiting opportunistically thanks to some fisherman cleaning in the area. Pretty wonderful seeing her too; she posed no threat to us just checking us out. I understand Pacific Rim recently got this new boat that we were on- very comfortable and plenty of room. Underwater conditions varied depending on day and location. Captain Frank is a great guy and very passionate about what he does. Definitely recommend this operation if you're diving on the Big Island!
