Comments Seasport is well run and professional . We stayed in Poipu close to the dive shop. We met at the shop at 7:30am and then were taken in a van to the boat, about 10 minutes away. The staff and the entire operation are friendly and competent. The DMs and captains were professional and knowledgable. If diving in Kauai, I recommend them. However, the diving is rather disappointing. On many sites, there was little to see of note. Most of the dives were over rubble with little coral and occasionally interesting life. The exception is Sheraton Caverns, the premier site on Kauai. I saw a shark, 2 octopus, a sea slug, turtles, pipe fish, several eels. At $160 for a two tank dive, it is not great value given the paucity of sea life and variety.

You should have booked with Fathom Five. There are many sites with ledges where sharks and turtles hide and others where there are many large schools of fish.
