Comments Just finished four days of diving in a row with Tyler. We're Disney Vacation Club members and wanted to sample scuba diving on Oahu while staying at Aulani. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of diving! Most sites have green sea turtles and at the wreck of the Mahi (Waianae) we saw 16 spotted eagle rays grouped in three squadrons!

Tyler is an exceptional dive guide and extremely safety conscious. Best of all, he isn't stuck in one location, but can take you anywhere on Oahu, seeing the best spots on the island. I would also recommend Tyler for completing open water certification.

Each day we had two dives. First day: shore dives from Shark's Cove (rather challenging hike from the parking lot with gear-on). Next three days were boat dives from Hawaii Kai, Kewalo Basin (Honolulu), and Waianae.

Tyler uses dive boat operators that he has had a long relationship. All were great; although the Hawaii Kai boat was pretty crowded. Tyler couldn't help this; even having planned it as a mid-week dive to lessen the crowd at the popular Sea Tiger wreck.

Tyler answers emails promptly and confirms each day's events also by email the afternoon before. He gives comprehensive dive briefings and is excellent at finding small critters.

If you're staying on Oahu and want to dive, choose Tyler. You'll have a great time!!

UW Photo Comments I used a new system (Haas Photography) featuring Canon G7X Mark 2 in Fantasea housing with Inon S-2000 strobe and Radiant 1000X lights. Loved it! On the boats, there was a separate rinse bucket for cameras and Tyler or the boat crew would hand down the camera.
