Comments BAREFOOT CAY IS A WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY. THE LUXURY BEACHFRONT BUNGALOWS HAVE SPACIOUS BEDROOMS WITH VERY COMFORTABLE BEDS, BALINESE SHOWER,AND ATTENTION TO CLEANLINESS AND DETAIL. THE CAY HAS A BEAUTIFUL POOL AND DINING AREA. THE FOOD WAS GOOD AND REASONABLY PRICED, WE ATE BREAKFAST AND DINNER THERE EVERY DAY. WE ALWAYS FELT SAFE AND VERY COMFORTABLE. I DID GET A COUPLE OF NO-SEE-UM BITES DURING THE WEEK BUT THE RESORT TRIES TO DO A GOOD JOB OF CONTROLLING THEM. THREE WEEKS AGO THEY STARTED THEIR OWN DIVE SHOP AND HIRED A DIVE MANAGER FROM CO CO VIEW NAMED MARK. HE IS VERY PERSONABLE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. AT THE PRESENT TIME HE IS HIRING FREE LANCE DIVEMASTERS, I ENJOYED DIVING WITH THEM ALL. WE USED A FAIRLY NEW DIVE BOAT WITH A GREAT BOAT CAPTAIN NAMED ANGEL. DIVE GROUPS WERE 1 TO 6 AND WE DID A VARIETY OF SITES ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF ROATAN. I WAS GIVEN A LOT OF FLEXIBILITY IN DIVE PROFILE AND CHOICE OF DIVE SITES. IN APRIL OF 2008 BAREFOOT CAY WILL BE IN THEIR NEW TWO STORY DIVE-FOCUSED BUILDING. THERE WILL BE 5 BEDROOM/KITCHEN UNITS ON THE TOP FLOOR WITH TILED DECKS AND A GREAT OCEAN VIEW. THE GROUND FLOOR WILL HAVE A DIVE SHOP, NEW COMPRESSOR, CLASSROOM, AND EXERSIZE AREA. THE PEOPLE AND SERVICE WERE GREAT AND I WILL BE GOING BACK.
