Comments A lot of reviews have been written about Coco View; we decided to make the trip due to those positive reviews. Great choice! I'm not going to repeat what others have written but just highlight some areas that I found particularly striking.
1. Facilities were uniformly well designed and maintained. Everything was clean and everything worked. This includes the guest rooms, the common areas, the dive area and the boats.
2. We liked the food. Not fancy but tasty with a variety of different options for each meal.
3. All of the staff was friendly and professional, no exceptions!
4. We found the prices very reasonable. No surprises - even the bar tab was reasonable.
5. Standard package was 4 boat dives a day - 2 to nearby dive sites (20 min boat trip MAX) and 2 drop-off dives along the resort walls and wreck. Unlimited dives - day or night - along the walls and wreck. Wall and wreck dives required a short walk with tanks and gear. Optional boat dives at night at a very reasonable charge. I found the drop-off dives repetitive and would have preferred 3 dive sites and 1 drop-off each day - or days with 4 dive site dives. An option was available to take a full day of boat dives at more remote sites.
6. Orientation lectures and orientation dive were all very informative. I found the free 30 min buoyancy lecture particularly outstanding.
7. Tipping for the dive staff was not clear from the website but was clarified at the orientation. This was a shame because you need to bring sufficient cash or pay a large fee to use a credit card. I strongly suggest that they put the information on tipping for dive staff that was given at the orientation on the website. I don't know why they are keeping this so secretive and suspect that guests would provide larger tips if they knew how much cash to bring.
8. Entertainment was a real treat. Live music several nights, fire dancers, crab races and a photo contest. Outstanding!
9. Only screw-up I was aware of was that several guests in my group arrived at the airport for their return home - but their luggage didn't. They finally figured out how to contact the Resort and the luggage was found and delivered to the airport in time for their flights. Not a disaster, but the Resort needs to analyze what went wrong and make appropriate changes.
10. Overall, a great trip!

UW Photo Comments Numerous large camera fresh water tanks on shore and on each boat. Water was always fresh. DM's stressed that the tanks were only for cameras. Camera pro and shop on site for rentals, repairs, parts and advice. Photo contest with prizes. Free photo workshops offered on some weeks. Night dives offer a great photographic opportunity.
