Comments CoCo View Resort has it down. The resort is so well planned out from boats to dive lockers, availability of full tanks anytime of day or night. The front yard has a wreck (Prince Albert) and two wall dives (Coco View and Newman's Wall) easily accessible from shore. And two boat dives a day.

An onsite photography shop with rental equipment, photo lessons available with a reservation. My wife did a one day photography class and her skills improved from that morning to that evening was remarkable. Thank you Mickie.

The shallow reefs are showing signs of climate change due to the warmer waters. The swim back to the resort 5 - 10 feet deep was like swimming in a hot tube it was really warm - no kinda hot actually. The deeper reefs are still in decent shape but for how long?

Food is plentiful with entertainment almost every night. A super fun dive vacation with lots of returning divers which is no wonder. Staff, dive guides and boat captains are all very professional and personable. An enjoyable week with nice people. We had fun.

Nice report. I was hoping for more details though, including lessons learned. I concur with your stars ratings. I was just there Dec. 8 - Dec. 13, 2024 and it is one of the best operations in the world across the board(as an experienced diver w/ 40 yrs.) of all types of places. Unfortunately Dec. is rainy season so vis was not great (30 ft.). No wonder many people there had visited 35-40 times for all the great facility amenities. I would go a different time of yr. but like to get out of the Midwest during winter non hurricane months in the south. Great Scubapro rental equip. too , but computer a bit small to see in the console. It is NOT a white sand walk the beach resort but diver oriented with nice relaxing hammocks on the water gazebos. It is very safe isolated place and one doesn't even need to lock up your dive gear.

Hey Garth, thanks for taking the time to read my report and leave a comment, truly appreciate it. Sounds like this is not your "first rodeo" with 40 years of dive experience! My first and only time to CoCo View was 33 years ago and I kept telling my wife that she needs to experience how well organized, easy and relaxing the dive resort is. She is new to underwater photography and the onsite photo center has an U/W photography work shop which was just further motivation to book a week. So there is at least one lesson learned and that is, if you want to book a private or any other U/W photography workshop make sure to book early since Mickie is the only one doing them. I would be interested to know if when you were there in December was the shallow water in front of the resort as warm as it was when I was there in late August? My highest water temp reading was 89 Degrees and averaged in the high 80's.
