Comments The set up for your dive gear at CocoView is what all resorts should aim for. Each diver got a station in a garage like area within 15 feet of the boat you were assigned to. Each station had shelves for small gear, a hook for your BC and hangers for your wetsuit. There was a place to hang a tag that indicated to the staff if you were going out on the next boat. If so, they provided you with two fresh tanks at your station to test for the O2 content. They then would load your tank and BC onto the boat at your ususual station for the next adventure.
Each boat (once in the morning, once in the afternoon) was a two tank dive. The first dive was a giant stride at one of the many great sites. The second dive would be a drop off at one of the two walls right out front of the resort. Both drop off dives ended at a safety stop spot right near a wreck in front of the resort. You would then follow an underwater path marked with a chain and some small floats to the end of the dive, where you would stand up, take off your fins, and walk another 20 yards to shore. There is a webcam that faces the point of completion, so you can have your friends/family back home watch as you come in. Very cool!!
The staff were all great, and good dive masters. The boats were good, and the food was very good. The entertainment was quite nice, including a show with fire dancers that was spectacular.
I strongly recommend CocoView, and would go back in a heartbeat.
