Comments 7-Day solo trip in an ocean view room (surprisingly small single supplement); roomy and comfortable. Did 22-dives; those away from the resort were best, but the 'house diving' (wreck of the Prince Albert, and to either side a wall dive - Newman's Wall and CocoView Wall) were enjoyable. The offsite locations were often lush (e.g.: gorgonians), and some had strongly vertical wall structure...striking! I agree with what others have said...lush reefs, not as 'fishy' as one might prefer, but I still saw a nurse shark, good-sized yellow fin group, 2 tiger grouper, small to medium black and Nassau grouper, 1 goliath grouper, a big dog snapper, eagle rays and decent number of fish. I dove 100-cf AL nitrox tanks. Dive and resort staff were helpful and personable. Boats were spacious and comfortable; nice and wide. The center well for boarding from a dive is an option that can be useful. Another diver took the $60 lion fish course and got to keep the spear!

The system is head out on boat for offsite dive, on way in have option to giant stride off and dive an onsite location (e.g.: CocoView or Newman's Wall or the wreck); that's morning and afternoon. Weather allowing, shore diving day or night as you will. I was allowed to solo dive; staff were a little conservative about it at first (e.g.: on drop-offs putting me at the wreck instead of a wall), but I solo dove CocoView and Newman Walls over time.

Food was buffet and good to really good; some nights there was entertainment by local performers. On the grounds, I saw spiny-tailed iguanas, white-crowned pigeons, anoles, a basilisk, hermit crabs, some larger crabs in burrows and a gecko.

In overall cost, and considering the number of dives on offer, it was competitive with other mainstream Caribbean destinations I've used.
