Comments We've been visiting Coco View for many years now (more than 10). The staff have become like family to us and we look forward to seeing them once or twice a year for 2 - 3 weeks each trip.
We have been on Roatan in Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun and Nov. February & November were a bit rainy - but the diving was still great.
The weather is usually in the mid 80's, sunny with a nice breeze. The water can be calm and it can be wavy and rough - but once you get below the surface - it has always been fine.
The Staff are very kind and will go out of their way to make you comfortable. The food is very good and there is a lot of it. The kitchen staff will do their best to accommodate allergies, etc. so if you have any - let them know ahead of time - they really want you to be happy.
The Dive Staff & Boat Captains are the best we've had anywhere. They pay attention and will take excellent care of you and your gear. There are 2 boat dives each day and 2 drop off dives (at the 2 house reefs & wreck- Prince Albert. The dive boats were specially designed and have 2 side & 1 rear exit (giant stride). There are 2 ladders at the rear of the boat and a center well with a ladder that is especially great when the sea is rough. The equipment is well cared for and after diving in many parts of the world - I can honestly say that you will not find better dive staff anywhere.
Dockside Dive Shop is on site and has excellent equipment and services. Patty Grier (owner) offers free lectures every week in the clubhouse and a variety of PADI courses.
If you have been looking for an awesome place to dive - put Coco View on your list. You can literally dive 24/7 - eat, sleep , dive - repeat!
Once you come - you will meet many "Coco Nuts" - people who have had 5 or more visits - and you will see what keeps bringing us "home".

UW Photo Comments My UW photography is a hobby that I get to work on a couple times a year. Coco View has "camera only" rinse tanks on each boat and in the locker areas. The water is always cleaned and the tanks are clearly marked.
Mickey Charteris (author/photographer of Caribbean Reef Life) is the Photography Pro at the Resort. He gives free lectures at the club house each week and 1 on 1 classes which are camera/equipment specific. I took a 1 hour class and a 4 hour class w/a dive. I have learned a lot from Mickey adn the 5 people I referred have as well. Excellent resource for divers and snorkelers. Photo shop has rentals / repairs, etc.
