Comments [This is my eighth annual visit, which qualifies me as a "coconut", you qualify after 5 visits. The accomodations, while not luxurious, are quite comfortable and clean. Food is generous and served buffet style. Not gourmet, but prepared well, with a couple of options for lunch and dinner...you won't go away hungry. Adjacent to the dining area is the bar, with friendly service and reasonable prices. You run a tab on the honor system and then settle your account at the end of your stay. Dive operations are very well set up, with plenty of bottles, whether air or Nitrox, and good solid 3000 psi fills. Boat operations are run very well, good divemasters and captains, comfortable and easy on and off. Responsive to photographers needs and know how to handle camera rigs. The diving itself is decent, great if you are a macro critter photographer, but so so for larger creatures. If you are looking for pelagics or big fish, the diving here will disappoint. Damage from last year's earthquake still very evident underwater both on the walls/corals and the "house wreck", the Prince Albert. Why do divers come here year after year? Very comfortable boat, drop-off and shore diving along with a dive resort that treats divers well. Many "coconuts" come for repeat visits as part of large groups/dive clubs, like my group...so individual divers need to make an effort to engage. Don't forget your bug repellant...good idea to spray often, particularly after removing your wetsuit at the dive lockers. Am I coming back? Already have a trip booked for next year!]

UW Photo Comments [Boat captains and divemasters very responsive to photographers. All boats have camera rinse tanks and space for cameras. If you are on a boat with a lot of photographers, you may need to ask for an extra rinse tank to be brought on board, our requests have always been honored]
