Comments To get there you can either fly to Roatan and take a puddle jumper to Guanaja, or fly to San Pedro Sula and take 2 puddle jumpers to Roatan and then Guanaja. Roatan was about twice the cost. Almost missed our flight back when our 9 am puddle jumper was delayed until 1 pm.

The resort is amazing. It can only accomodate 16 divers, and about a month before our trip, the US put out a travel advisory not to visit Honduras, so half our group cancelled which meant 8 of us had the place to ourselves.

Not many people dive here so the reefs were in excellent shape. The best diving was near the resort, but while we were there it was too rough for all but one day, so we were boated to the other side of the island most of the time. Typical Caribbean diving.

Staff and dive operation were excellent. We were told Nitrox would be available, but there wasn't any.

UW Photo Comments They had freshwater tanks on the boat and even brought extras because of several large rigs. No shore setups though. Although they had no problem with us comandeering a conference room with good lighting for working on our cameras.

I was there September 24 - October 1, 2016. Nitrox (32 EAN)is now available - $120 for the week. An unexpected and WONDERFUL bonus: a small laundry basket is placed in your room for you to deposit anything you wish to be laundered. The cleaning staff have it clean, dry, and folded almost before you get back from the afternoon dive. You truly can take 3 pairs of shorts, 3 or 4 t-shirts, 2 swimsuits and you're set for the week! AND the dive staff thoroughly cleans your dive gear on the last day and it is dry in time to pack for your return trip home. Whatever you think you want to tip the staff, increase it 10% because they are THAT GOOD!
