Comments We went for whale sharks but saw none. There were a number of disappointed people, some who had been there previous year and hadn't seen any that year either. However, we did meet a couple of ladies who had seen them four years in a row, hoping to make it five.

Otherwise diving was good, not great. Didn't see much in the way of big stuff - no sharks, only a couple of turtles and eagle rays. Did see lots of green moray eels, some out and about. Highlight were Sea Horses - White, Orange, and Black. Our Divemaster Annette was excellent at finding the small stuff - flatworms, nudibranchs, shrimp, etc. Dive staff and boat captain were great.

Resort was very nice, great scenic location, staff and service were excellent. Accomodations were comfortable - air conditioning + ceiling fan, comfortable bed, hammocks and chairs on deck where we had beautiful sunsets. Food was buffet style, not gourmet but satisfactory. Big downside was the abundance of bugs - nothing seemed to work for us and others, similar to other trips we've taken to Central America.

Wouldn't recommend going during Easter Week as we did - influx of natives returning for big family week but stress on island's utilities. All in all, an enjoyable week - maybe some day we'll roll the dice again and head back for whale sharks.
