Comments This trip happened as there was quite a nice discount involved! It is my fifth Aggressor trip, and someone on board was on her 45th trip and apparently had the luxury of her own cabin.
My dive buddy and I traveled in the day before as I am always concerned about the possibility of losing luggage and that gives an extra day to ensure its delivery. We stayed at the Pineapple hotel which was very close.
It was a mixture of people, and two couples were friends of the captain, Alan, and had done this trip multiple times. My only other experience of the area is a trip to CoCo View, which is good for groups, and Utopia Village, which is no longer accepting paying customers.
We boarded at 3.30 from the yacht club. During the boat briefing, we were introduced to the crew and I was happy to learn most are locals. The chef is self-taught and did an amazing job.
Two divemasters were always in the water, and you had your choice of following either one or diving your profile. The usual warning of not drinking alcohol before diving was given, although ignored by at least one individual. The visibility wasn't perfect on some dives, probably due to a recent storm. Another was on the horizon as we disembarked, so we avoided that problem. Aggressor boats usually endeavor to offer five dives a day and offer the Iron Diver experience medal and certificate. I believe we were one short of the 25 dives.
The divemasters are always great at finding seahorses, eels, manta shrimp, and other small creatures, plus you are given the photos at the end of the trip. Be sure to bring a flash drive, an extra SD card, or use Airdrop to take advantage of this offer.
Having your fins removed while on the ladder is a nice feature I have experienced on other Aggressor boats. The crew was extremely attentive and replaced my computer with an SPG which was not registering the correct PSI at the beginning of the trip. I also borrowed a mask about halfway through and ended up donating both of mine to the boat.
I would return.
All in all, a good trip.
