Comments Roatan Aggressor's owner, the affable Alan Roberts captained for the week. Alan also captained aboard the Palau Aggrssor when Club Ed visited. Alan runs a timely, clean, and highly qualified boat, all the time leading the laughs and the fun! Kudos to Alan, Videographer Gaby, Divemaster Jessie, Photo Pro Willie, Engineer John, Steward Janelle and the UNBELIEVABLE Chef Milton! Perhaps the best liveaboard team in the world! Every expectation was exceeded under Alan's leadership.
First In no particular order: 3400 lb. air fills were the norm. The deck divemasters put our fins ON and took them OFF! They ritually assisted in climbing up the ladders. They were always there with a hand and a smile. What a group!
Second: Cabins a bit small, but well air-conditioned and very very clean.
Third: Holy Shite, the food was over the top! Every day was a 5 Star multi-course meal. LOTS of hearty soups, great steaks, exceptional desserts, and HUGE portions! I felt a bit guilty not cleaning my plate. Incredible epicurean adventures!
Fourth: The reefs appeared to be what reefs used to be. LOTS of large corals and very healthy. Some of the best I've seen in 40 years of diving. Utilla and the Pinnacles knocked our socks off!
Fifth: NO SHARKS. Very peculiar but didn't see any sharks this week and only 5 Lionfish which we promptly killed. Chef Milton made Cerviche out of them and it was fantastic!
Sixth: The Roatan Aggressor's dive deck was brilliant. LOTS of room. A fill whip at each of the 18 stations. Lots of locker room.
Seventh: HUGE and equipped photo table. It could use an air hose to blow off water, but there was one on a tank, a few steps away.
Eighth: This boat was new in 2012 and revamped in 2017. The top deck bar, hot tub, and dining area were perfectly designed.
I know I will think of more after I hit send, but this boat and destination are highly recommended!
