Comments	I booked this trip to relax at an upscale 5 star resort. I had a low to medium bar set for the diving. The resort exceeded my expectations and the diving was very good due to the health of the reef, particularly the elkhorn and staghorn corals which are a real treat to see these days. The pillar corals are about as big as I've seen and some of the gorgonioan colonies come close to those seen in Fiji. Plenty of macro and the DMs John and Anka work very hard at pointing it all out. Do not expect to see fish of any size over 6" or so. Maybe an occasional nurse shark a turtle and a lone ray or two. Utilia like just about everywhere is fished out. On the up side the ubiquitous owners have been deeply involved with the local fishing community which is next door on pigeon cay. With any luck the economics of a large fish on the reef versus one on the plate will become apparent to the locals and some plan for a sustainable reef and hungry community can be found, but that is going to take some serious work. The owners and staff do an exceptional job and if you have anything like a birthday to celebrate, do let them know. What a wonderful birthday extravaganza they put on for us. Exceptional resort, owners and staff. The quality of the reef is worth returning for.
