Comments West Bay Divers is a well-run and very diver-friendly shop. Any equipment, if needed, is included in the per dive price, so you didn't feel nickle-and-dimed like other operations. If you sign up for a trip, it will take place regardless of the number of divers. On some trips it was just the two of us plus the DM and it felt like we were on a personal tour of the sites. Because the reefs were a short hop from shore, no boat trip took longer than 10 minutes and each was a one tank dive. We visited out of season, so the groups were small, and the crowds sparse. There were at least three boat trips per day; in busy season they go to four. The reef is fairly healthy in this part of Roatan, and although we didn't see any large critters, there were enough coral, turtles, and varieties of fish to keep us busy.
