Comments First, the hotel until recently it was a Hyatt property, but was recently sold to private(?) buyers. Then it was some damage post Irma. The tower building is still closed for repairs. There are two floors of rooms that form a “U” shape which surrounds a couple of pools and a good sized hot tub. Our first room on the bottom floor looks out into the intercostal waterway. Huge boats. The room kind of smelled and was lacking in any personality. We asked for a change and were given a room on the second floor over looking the pools. Much better. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and friendly big props to them. On to the diving. Just west of the hotel over a bridge is the location of the dive boat. 88 portside dr. Right next to the pilot house. Found the dive charter on line and read trip advisor reviews. Generally pretty good. I arrived early for a 08:00 show 08:30 go. Very nice boat 46’Newton hot & cold showers and a head. Clean well maintained boat. The crew seemed to get along and empisis is on safety. Oxygen defrib on board. Plenty of life vests and communication equipment. Two dives per day, first wreck at about 80’ then boat to a reef about 30’ max. Lots of lobster around the reefs. Wrecks were pretty neat and in good shape. Viz about 50’ all dives. Nurse sharks rays slight current dive crew was great would use them again. $81.20 for two tanks snacks and soft drinks. Captains Todd, and Gregg Dive Masters Amy, Rebecca and Henry would not hesitate booking with this group again.
