Comments The Blue Hole is a spring-fed pool about 80 feet deep in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. It is about 100 miles east of Albuquerque. The water temp. is 61 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. The top is 30 yards wide with an easy entry down a very shallow ramp or one can giant stride in. The water is clear as a swimming pool and the only inhabitants are a few goldfish and crayfish. The elevation is over 4,000 feet, so keep your surface interval in mind before you drive away on I-40. Look, it's one of the only places a diver can go in this land-locked desert.
