Comments We did this trip specifically for the wrecks of the Duane and the Speigel Grove. Stayed four days and each day alternated between wrecks, with second dive at Molasses Reef for shallow dive. Both Wrecks were past 100' with lots of surface chop and some current.
Speigel Grove Trips were all pretty crowded with 20 plus on the boat. The smaller Duane had much less people on each trip. The Boat left promptly at 8am and we were always the first to the wreck sites. We enjoyed Captain Graham and mates Tuck, Bronwyn, and Opus aboard the Santana. Captain and crew were always good about keeping head counts and taking attendance before leaving the dive site. Morning Dive was pulling into dock at about 11:30 and a Locked drying area was provided for storing gear. Connie from Ocean Dive, was great always pleasant and helpful in getting us signed up for dive trips and hotel accommodations. The Marina Del Mar Hotel,(rooms were clean and adequate) is right next to the Dive shop and Good food is available breakfast lunch and dinner. Was easy.. relaxed trip, I would definitely do it again.
