Comments Aside from choppy surface conditions, and resultant sea sickness, this trip went very smoothly. The dives were mostly shallow, about 30 feet. Most divers were comfortable in a rash guard, but I felt more comfortable with 3mm. There were lots of large-ish fish and turtles. The dive operator was well aware of that we were diving in a marine sanctuary, and it was apparent from the life that was visible. We saw lobster and crab hiding on reefs, and witnessed a nurse shark trying to extract a lobster from its hiding spot as we waited to ascend. We also saw a spotted eagle ray and green moray eels. The visibility was not fabulous, but adequate to our purposes. Great help with entry and exit. Due to the shallow conditions, the trip was low key and relaxing. My one regret was not using the anti-seasickness medication soon enough, as the surface waters were rough and the boat was small. The small boat is a great advantage for most, as the maximum divers accommodated is 6.
