Comments Quiescence was recommended by my IDC instructor. Sure glad I asked who to dive with first. "Q" runs only 'six-pack' 25ft boats. They are very comfortable and laid out well. "Q" will run a trip with as few as 2 divers. Dives are not guided, but are available if requested in advance. The boat captains are probably the most knowledgable in the area. We had Capt. Tim (a third generation Largoan) We dove 'Captain's Choice' for location and weren't disappointed. Tim kept us away from the Labor Day crowds and the 'Cattle Boats'. Most all of the dives were fairly shallow (deepest of 43 fsw). The reefs were much better than I had anticipated. Almost on the level of Bonaire.

The dive shop staff and operation was run very efficiently and relaxed. Every staff person was knowledgable and willing to answer any questions and offer any help. I usually try to pack all of my own gear (and I did for this trip). "Q" is a ScubaPro exclusive gear shop. All of their rental BC's appeared almost brand new and in very good shape. I could have saved on the extra airline weight by not packing my BC.

At each dive site we were given a thorough, detailed, yet short briefing. The captains dive these waters, too. We were asked to return to the boat within a reasonable period of time or 500 psi, whichever came first.

I would, without question, return to Quiescence again and again.

UW Photo Comments We dive with a GoPro and a Canon D30. The boats have a fresh water hose for rinse. We did have others on one our trips with some very sophisticated gear - they seemed very pleased.
