Comments Third time diving with Rainbow Reef. We like having a divemaster in the water for guiding and finding critters. Only Rainbow Reef has DMs in the Keys.

Boats were never croweded, crew was always great. Thorough briefings, very attentive to needs of different divers.

DMs were enthusiastic, knowledgable and usually added real value to the dives, whether finding critters or knowing what were the best swim throughs on the wrecks. We will dive with them again.

Suites of Key Largo are older, worn, but great value and location. Right around the corner from the boats, with a view out onto the canal. Rooms are small apt style, with upstairs large bed/bath and downstairs living room, full kitchen, bath and screened in porch. At $89/night a great deal.

Calypso and Pilot House restaurants are off the beaten path, not hard to find though, with great Key vibe and good food.

Key Largo is not Cozumel or Belize, but it is good diving, accessible and reasonably affordable - for this sport.
