Comments checked in with dan dawson(owner) who was very nice and polite. boarded a boat called the pises. had alot of room as there was only 6 divers and i think the boat can hold 10. it was a scheduled two tank dive on the spiegel grove. being that a have done many dives on the speigel i asked the captain of the boat troy if we can do the first dive on the wreck of the duane. troy was very cool and said no problem if other divers agreed and everybody said yes after i told them that it is an amazing dive when the viz is good and that for some reason the viz is usually twice as good as the speigel. troy did a good pre-dive briefing and said we may see some large bull sharks cruising the perimeter of the wreck and dont be scared as they wont bother you. so we descend to the wreck in 80 feet viz and immediately see a 7 foot bull shark who disappeared after he checked us out. see school of about 50 permit behind crows nest, some large barracuda and some big cubera/mutton snappers. not for beginners as there was a strong current and over 100 foot depth.second dive on speigel was less current but viz was 30 feet. saw large school of horse eyed jacks who live on the upper deck and some big hogfish.would rec this dive operation to anybody and troy is an excellent captain.
