Dear Fellow Diver
While June is our month off, John Bantin and I thought it is important to prepare the attached piece [pdf] about the Red Sea dive boat, the MY Carlton Queen, which flipped over just last month. Several of the divers aboard told John their frightening stories and we want to share them with you. Luckily there were no casualties, but a second liveaboard, the MY Dream Keeper in the Philippines, also turned turtle and sunk in April, carrying four people to their deaths. More about this in our July issue.
We've written many pieces on liveaboard safety and will continue to do so; our goal is not only to help you dive safely, but also to help you travel safely.
